Massage therapist and educator Benny Vaughn relates his experiences growing up in the Deep South, as well as discrimination he has faced as a Black massage therapist.
His message is in this video, which he gave MASSAGE Magazine permission to share.
Vaughn, who has been instrumental in the development and promotion of massage — especially sports massage — also makes a request of all massage therapists to do one thing to help end racism.
“Silence and eyes closed does not support social change,” he says.
