Students of massage therapy, hair, skin, nails and barbering are getting a hand from Massage Envy Spa, as the nationwide franchise has donated $30,000 to the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation, a nonprofit foundation created by the American Association of Cosmetology Schools to build awareness of career opportunities in the beauty-and-wellness industry while awarding scholarships.
The $30,000 will be used to sponsor six $2,000 student tuition scholarships for currently enrolled massage therapy students and students that have yet to start their program, according to a Massage Envy release here.
The application for the first contest went live July 29 and can be found at www.beautychangelives.org/scholarships.
