An inside look at how the Massage Envy brand continues to grow, evolve, and maintain its reputation as one of the biggest names in the wellness industry.

Ongoing Growth and Expansion

From the opening of its first location in 2002, to hundreds of franchised locations across 49 states today, the Massage Envy franchise network continues to grow. At the end of June 2025, the brand celebrated the grand opening of its newest franchised location in Mount Dora, Florida, and are excited to continue the brand’s expansion with more locations slated to open in the coming months. In addition to the opening of new locations, already established locations also continue to evolve. The brand recently celebrated the opening of the newly remodeled franchised location in Edina, Minnesota. The remodeling of this location includes an updated footprint, state-of-the-art services and evolved wellness technology. The revamped storefront is designed to enhance the way guests and members experience massage, skin care and self-guided services.

In the newly imagined space, guests and members can experience:

  • Advanced Body Care Technology: The franchised location provides new and innovative body care offerings, including Full Body LED Light Therapy, Vibroacoustic Therapy with Compression Boots, and more.
  • Soothing Service Rooms: These rooms feature low, calming lighting and luxurious massage tables that use elevated technology to ensure guests are comfortable and supported throughout their service.

Celebrating a Major Service Milestone

The reasons for celebration don’t end there. To date, the franchised locations in the Massage Envy network have completed a combined total of more than 225 million massage, skin care, and stretch services since the brand’s establishment in 2002. As part of its continued commitment to innovation and accessible wellness, the Massage Envy brand has evolved its body and skin care offerings to include high-quality products, a vast array of techniques, and cutting-edge technology.

The Massage Envy franchise network has now collectively completed more than 207 million customized and hot stone massages, 18 million skin care services (including customized facials, chemical peels and other advanced offerings) and 1.5 million stretch sessions. This year also marks the Massage Envy brand’s 17th skin care anniversary and 23rd year of offering body care services, reinforcing the brand’s growth to meet the needs of members and guests by investing in new technologies and enhanced service offerings.

Investing in the Industry and the Community

In addition to brand expansion, Massage Envy has remained committed to supporting and growing the massage therapy industry.

By the end of 2025, 10 massage therapy schools will each have been awarded a $10,000 grant, funded by Massage Envy, for a total of $100,000.* These school grants are intended to help institutions attract, train, and graduate future generations of highly trained massage therapists. Since the grant program launched in 2022, the Massage Envy brand has awarded a total of $300,000 to 30 massage therapy schools. Ceena L., Director of Massage Therapy for Fort Hays State University and a fall 2024 grant winner, expresses, “Being awarded this grant helped our school in so many ways! It helped us fund a scholarship, invest in advanced electric tools, and purchase medical-grade essential oils. AMAZING!”

Along with helping to support massage therapy schools, Massage Envy also provides support to students. Through the Massage Envy Scholarship for Massage Therapists Sweepstakes,* eight winners are awarded every month with a $2,500 scholarship to go toward their schooling, for a total of 96 winners receiving $240,000 in scholarships over the course of the year. Since the program launched in 2022, a total of $680,000 has been awarded to 272 students. Alfredo C., one of the March 2025 winners, shares, “I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity. This scholarship isn’t just helping one therapist. It’s helping every client I serve, every life I touch, and every dream I’m building to create a legacy of healing.
