David Weintraub LMT (he/him), owner, started Bodyworks DW as a private practice in 2007. The practice has steadily grown into the two-studio, 20-plus-therapist practice it is today. Weintraub currently splits his time between three days of working directly with clients, teaching continuing education courses and mentoring his therapists, and managing a support team of seven employees. Weintraub sits on the board of the New York State Society for Medical Massage Therapists, a New York State nonprofit massage therapy trade organization that has been active since 1927. He is also a regular contributing writer and expert to MASSAGE Magazine. Weintraub received his massage therapy education at the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, New York, in 2007. He then received his life coaching education during a year-long intensive with Accomplishment Coaching in 2013. David Weintraub, LMT, is an approved provider for massage therapy continuing education in New York State and a National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork Approved Continuing Education Provider. His massage is a unique blend of deep tissue and myofascial release techniques based on the work of Ida Rolf, PhD, Thomas Myers and Marcelo Coutinho. These include connective tissue therapy and neuromuscular therapy, movement therapies, stretching and energy balancing. Weintraub created Bodyworks DW Studio to support brilliant new massage therapists in bridging the gap between finishing massage school and opening their own practices. He trains the staff regularly on advanced massage techniques. This dedication to excellence is why Bodyworks DW is regularly awarded as a top studio in New York City by expertise.com and bestratedlocal.com.
